Man, we miss seeing all your faces!
Not an unusual sentiment, I know. I would bet that we all miss normal social contact by now. Usually, this place is full of case managers, interns, volunteers, and sometimes visitors along with all of our residents.
There’s a vibrancy to the Upper Room and the Women’s Home annex that we just miss in isolation.
That’s why it’s been so nice that we’re blessed with volunteers who have been making safe meal deliveries to our residents. We’re amazed at anyone who spends their time and energy caring for others in such a difficult time, and it has been so heartening for our residents to see a friendly face that isn’t one of us.
Just seeing a smiling face, and knowing that someone out there cares for you.
It means a lot to us. It means even more to them.
